Currently attending Point Grey Secondary School, Natalie is absolutely trhilled to serve as the Co-Director of Marketing for the Monarch Missions! She looks forward to pursuing her passion for advocating the protection of monarch butterflies through her dedicated involvement in the MM. Beyond her commitment to MM, you'll often spot her lost in the captivating pages of books, playing the piano and violin, and chatting away with her friends.

LENNOX DONAHER

Lennox Donaher is currently in grade 11 at Sentinel Secondary School, and is looking forward to serving as the new Co-Director of Outreach. Outside of Monarch Missions, Lennox runs the Entryway foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on poviding English courses to immigrants and Refugees. He enjoys spending his time lifting weights, watching movies, and trying to keep up with the homework.

David Xu is currently attending St. George's School in Vancouver. He is excited to serve as the new Co-Director of Outreach for Monarch Missions and looks forward to help bring more Monarch butterflies into everyone's lives. Outside of MM, David can be found exploring British Columbia's amazing provincial parks and playing soccer in the lower mainland.

BRIAN DENG

Brian Deng is one of the newer additions to the staff team at Monarch Missions. After having volunteered at a KK fundraiser and learning about the amazing resillience of the monarch butterflies, Brian has developed a newfound appreciation for them and is dedicated to making the world a more butterfly-friendly place. "It's pragmatic for us humans," he says, but deep down, he just finds butterflies adorable. When he’s not at MM, you can catch him dancing or singing for yet another one of his instagram videos!

Currently attending Crofton House School, Olivia Xing founded the Monarch missions with the hope of revitalizing the monarch butterfly population across North America. She first stepped into a butterfly garden at the age of 3 on a family trip to Victoria which has since resulted in a fascination for the winged creatures. From reading about wildlife conservation efforts in th enews to chaotically collecting butterfly jewelry, protecting this species has undoubted been an unforgettable and incredible part of her journey! Outside of MM, you can find her bringing treats to bake sales, playing the flute, or altar serving at her local parish.

A student at Crofton House School, Alice Zhu is absolutely delighted to serve as the Co-Director of Events! Ever since grade 6 camp, Alice has grown to develop a special fondness towards the delicate species of monach butterflies. She heavily looks forward to co-directing future events for the Monarch Mission that spreads awareness, potential solutions, and are hysterically fun to participate in! OUtside of MM, Alice, can be found passionately jamming on set with her ten different music tastes, craving human interaction, gavel hunting, and being WAY too loud for anyone's ears!

A 10th grade student at Prince of Wales Mini School, Kelly Guo is excited and dedicated to serving as the new Co-Director of Events at Monarch Missions. The importance of Monarch butterflies and spreading awareness about them is something she is eager to participate in. Since she was young, she binged a multitude of nature documentaries — bringing about a love of animals. Besides MM, Kelly enjoys travelling, doomscrolling, and procrastinating.

Victoria Deng is a grade 9 student at Crofton House School. She is honoured to serve as the Co-Director of Marketing for the Monarch Missions. Previously painted a little girl catching butterflies in nature on a canvas, she hopes to pursue her passion in art and highlight the importance of protecting the endangered species of monarch butterflies through her engagement at MM! Outside of MM, Victorial can be found munching on a variety of food, stressing about work load, listening to K-pop and playing badminton with her friends.

RICHARD YING

Richard Ying is a boarder from St. George’s School. Serving as the Director of Media for Monarch Missions, Richard is ready to fully devote himself into the world of butterflies. Using his energetic speeches combined with everyone’s hard work, Richard is prepared to let the entire world know about the dedication Monarch Missions have on protecting the Monarch Butterfly. Outside Monarch Missions, you can catch preparing another speech, grinding his Hoi IV and Genshin Impact campaign, or running his History Club.

HAROLD WANG

As a Grade 10 student at West Point Grey Academy, Harold Wang is excited to contribute as the Events Associate for the Monarch Missions. Committed to raising awareness about the challenges faced by endangered monarch butterflies, Harold aims to make a significant impact through his role. Outside of the Monarch Missions, he enjoys performing jazz and classical music, debating, and occasionally sleeping through his alarm clock.

Sophia Kim is a 10th grade student at Sentinel Secondary School and is thrilled to serve as the IT & Media Associate for the Monarch Missions. She looks forward to bringing awareness and helping protect the endangered monarch butterflies. Outside of Monarch Missions, Sophia enjoys playing various sports including field hockey, swimming, skiing, and golf, as well as spending time with friends and family!
